A couple of us in the office have been checking out OK Go’s new music video for their single ‘I Won’t Let You Down’ this afternoon and it has the same result as it’s predecessors. That is to say, it doesn’t disappoint.

I first noticed OK Go’s complexly choreographed music videos with the classic Here We Go Again, (you know, the one with the treadmills) which has topped many lists similar to this. As we looked through their catalogue of videos we thought and marvelled at the brilliance of their video production, we thought we would share a few of our favourites with you! So in no particular order, here they are.

I Won’t Let You Down

This video is absolutely ridiculous. After about thirty seconds I thought I knew where it was going and that I had perhaps seen all I needed to see. How wrong I was. Watch it until the end and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

This Too Shall Pass (Rube Goldberg Machine Version)

This must have taken an obscene amount of time to prepare, as with all Rube Goldberg machine orientated endeavours. Check out the video and this behind the scenes clip, which features interviews with the band and some engineers who talk about the process of making this YouTube sensation.

Here It Goes Again

No words needed. You’ve all seen it before! The video that started it all.

The Writing’s On The Wall

Once again, outstanding. 10/10 for planning and execution – amazing minipulations of perspective and interesting optical illusions!

Needing/Getting

OK Go’s ‘Needing/Getting’ Musical Racetrack of a music video was released a couple of years ago as a pre-Superbowl commercial. It was their most expensive music video at the time, costing six figures and a months prep to produce.
