Video of the
Week

We’ve been super busy here at Holler over the last couple of months. We’ve been all over Europe and the UK filming testimonials, promos and more. So finding a spare half hour to sit down and share videos has been difficult. But we’re back now with some more great examples to share.

This week in our video of the week blog, we’re looking at content ranging from

DON’T BLINK – APPLE

First up on video of the week we have a wicked video from Apple. You may have seen this doing the rounds on social media after Apple released the iPhone 7. It’s a short video that tells you all of the big announcements from the event in 107 seconds. They’ve combined some clever use of text with some video and a punchy music track to get across all of the information in a speedy and stylish way. There’s also a good use of humour in the video, and it almost feels like their poking fun at themselves a lot of the time. A great example of a video you’d watch over and over again.

YOU’RE BETTER THAN THIS – SONOS

Next up is maybe one of the shortest videos we’ve had on video of the week. It’s a 16 second video from Sonos, which shows a traditional wireless speaker playing music and constantly being interrupted but push notifications. It then ends with their campaign slogan “You’re better than this”. We love this video and it’s an example of short and sweet social video. They’ve used large text to grab your attention and also ensure that the video can still be effective without sound (as 85% of Facebook videos are watched without sound, these days).

WHAT IS UP? – AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE

Lastly on this week’s video of the week is a stylish promo/recruitment film from the Australian Air Force. We love these kinds of videos. It’s super cinematic; with its moody colour grade and gripping storyline, it’s also got a great voiceover, a nice music track and uses sound design really effectively.
