Last week YouTube revealed the most watched ads in 2014, and it’s pretty clear that Nike were the winners taking both 1st and 2nd. Nike don’t need much help when it comes to marketing, their one of the most creative brands around when it comes to creating shareable content, but with the help of the World Cup this year they clearly had an upper hand with most of the world engulfed in the buzz of the tournament. Budweiser and its dogs also did well, placing 3rd on the list with their ‘Puppy Love’ Super Bowl spot, but you’d expect that seeing as the Super Bowl advert spots were between $4m – $8m to place.

This years top 10 adverts were viewed 54% more than last years, combined they were viewed 425 million times and that accounts for more than 1 billion total minutes of viewing time. Even though the adverts this year were nearly 50% longer, viewers doubled their viewing time spending 50% more time watching them.
